Spontaneous resorption of exudative retinal detachments associated with ischaemic central retinal vein occlusion.

چکیده
INTRODUCTION Exudative retinal detachments occur as a result of fluid flow alterations and breakdown of the blood retinal barrier which is seen in inflammatory, infectious and neoplastic disease states in addition to abnormal vasculature. Ischaemic central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO) is uncommonly associated with exudative detachments (1, 2). We report a case of exudative retinal detachments secondary to ischaemic CRVO which resolved with conservative management.

Role of Transthoracic Echocardiography in the Evaluation of Patients with Retinal Vein Occlusion
Introduction: Retinal vein occlusion is a common vascular disorder disrupting vision. Two basic types of RVO are branch retinal vein occlusion and central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO). Retinal vein occlusion is a multifactor process including systemic illness and local retinal factors.RVO may be associated with atherosclerotic risk factors. We analyzed the role of 2 dimensional transthor...
متن کاملSulfur Mustard Exposure and Non-Ischemic Central Retinal Vein Occlusion
A 41-year-old man was referred with a complaint of visual loss in his left eye and his best corrected visual acuity was 20/80. Slit lamp examination showed arborizing conjunctival vessels and dry eye. Fundus examination and fluorescein angiography revealed a non-ischemic central retinal vein occlusion. Cardiovascular, rheumatologic, and hematologic work up showed no abnormal findings. An ascert...
متن کاملBaseline subfoveal choroidal thickness as an indicator for bevacizumab outcomes in central retinal vein occlusion
Background: Retinal vein occlusions are one of the most common form of retinal vascular disorders and could lead to vision loss due to macular edema, macular ischemia and sequelae from neovascularization. Anti-venous endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) treatment is the choice strategy of treatment for patients with macular edema secondary to central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO). There is an ...
متن کاملInvestigating the frequency characteristics of the electroretinogram signal in patients with central retinal vein occlusion
Background: Central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO) is the second most common retinal vascular disorder after diabetic retinopathy. In this study, we tried to examine the potentials of time-frequency methods for differentiating the eyes with CRVO. Materials and methods: Twenty patients with unilateral CRVO were included in this study. Their contralateral normal eyes were considered as the control...

OBJECTIVE To report on the use of intravitreal bevacizumab (an anti-vascular endothelial growth factor [VEGF] monoclonal antibody) as treatment of diffuse exudative retinal detachment due to ischemic central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO). DESIGN Interventional case report. PATIENT A 27-year old woman on peritoneal dialysis because of end stage renal failure (ESRF) due to perinuclear antineu...
